Short Term Car Park at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is part of the national airport facility completed for the 1998 Commonwealth Games held in Kuala Lumpur. With a capacity of 2,000 carpark spaces, it is divided into 4 blocks namely blocks A,B,C and D. They are paired and separated between an open garden. This 7 level building is connected to the main terminal building through a covered link-way at level 3. The topmost floor was designed to house an “affordable” food court and the Teflon coated fabric roof form mimics the roof of the main terminal building. At the time of construction, the structure was reported to be the largest precast concrete technology building in South East Asia.
