PUTRA EAST

The project’s objective is to revitalize & regenerate the old quarter bounded by Jalan Putra, Jalan Raja Laut & Jalan Ipoh. The development would include properties owned by the client and adjacent potentially good development land.

The project solution calls for a unique ‘urban intervention’ creating a continuous route linking all properties owned by the client and properties identified to be acquired as part of a pedestrian route to re-energies and establish pedestrian routes with links to transport stations (MRT/LRT) existing malls, entertainment centers and to the future River of Life.

The solution is to generate a series of new linear urban ‘centers’ within the urban fabric that will bring value & sense of place on this old & famous district that will include an urban nucleus of retail, residential & commercial area. Notable public spaces like the old Federal theatre are retained & rejuvenated to become part of this redevelopment. As part of the proposal, a gallery will be built to showcase the client’s establishment from 1950 and their historical connection as part of this redevelopment.
